This 100% Iberian Acorn-fed Ham has a characteristic that not all hams on the market have: the black seal.
What does it mean that ham has 2 Montaneras ?
Not everyone can boast of having double-aged hams.
Some of our pigs are twice as old as the rest of the 100% Iberian pigs, which is why they spend twice as much time in montanera, 2 montaneras, twice as much acorn-fed pigs as a normal ham... Can you imagine a 200% acorn-fed ham? Well, we have it for you.
For very little, you can be amazed by twice the quality.

Is my ham very fatty ?:
100% Iberian acorn-fed ham always has a layer of external fat (yellow bacon) greater than other Iberian hams. Thanks to this layer, the ham can withstand all the months necessary for its correct curing.
The total utilization of the ham can vary between 38% and 40%.
This means that not all pieces are the same and that it can vary up to half a kilo of meat up or down in an 8kg ham and that the normal thing is that there are about 3.2kg of meat left in an 8kg ham once we have removed the bone and the external bacon.
Normally, the larger the ham, the higher percentage of meat it will have.
In any case, if you believe that the yield of your ham is clearly lower than these percentages, do not hesitate to contact us.
